“It’s the best experience and a life changer.”

How and when did you first realize you were experiencing hearing loss?

I have had hearing loss since a child. I was diagnosed with Spinal Meningitis at 1 years old, and the medication to cure this has caused nerve damage in my ears. I also have Tinnitus.

Where did you first go for information or help? Why?

I work at Albany ENT and Allergy Services, PC, they advised me.

Based on your experience, do you have suggestions for others on how and where to start? Any other important things for them to consider?

It’s the best experience and a life changer. I would suggest pursuing. When we see patients, I explain that I wear hearing aids, and they work.

How have hearing aids changed your life? How do they help you at your job, in your hobbies or at volunteer activities?

It’s a life changer, no Tinnitus when I wear my hearing aids and I can hear.

What would you tell someone who is considering hearing aids?

Try them, there is a trial period.

Editor’s note: Some Hearing Care Professionals (HCP) offer patients an opportunity to wear hearing aids before they purchase them. Be sure to ask your HCP.

Which ReSound Hearing Aid(s) do you have?

ReSound LiNX 3D
