“I hear things that I never heard before and people have told me I’m a lot happier since getting them.”

How and when did you first realize you were experiencing hearing loss?

My wife would always tell me to turn down the TV because it was too loud. At work when people were talking to me and I had my back turned to them I did not know they were talking to me.

Where did you first go for information or help? Why?

My wife would all ways go to the same doctor. She’s been going to the doctor since she was a kid. The doctor recommended us to go to EarTech Audiology.

Based on your experience, do you have suggestions for others on how and where to start? Any other important things for them to consider?

I hear things that I never heard before and people have told me I’m a lot happier since getting them.

What was your biggest concern about hearing aids? Did that turn out to be true?

People would look at me differently. That’s not true.

How have hearing aids changed your life? How do they help you at your job, in your hobbies or at volunteer activities?

I’m more able to hear people talk to me at work. When my wife goes to bed, I can turn the volume all the way down and still hear the TV.

What would you tell someone who is considering hearing aids?

I would recommend it. It is a life changer.

Who is your hearing care professional?

EarTech Audiology.
