“Just go have a hearing test! You don’t have to be profoundly deaf to benefit from this!”

How and when did you first realize you were experiencing hearing loss?

I did hesitate to seek care. I have had tinnitus for over 20 years, but I always thought it was inner ear and thought it wasn’t my hearing. My kids and husband however, constantly had to repeat things and my husband said he always watched TV shows twice because I would rewind to understand. So, I put the close captioning on.

When I finally made an appointment, I had some hearing loss in my right ear, and then put my first hearing aid in 10 years ago. It was as if someone turned the ringing off

Based on your experience, do you have suggestions for others on how and where to start? Any other important things for them to consider?

Just go have a hearing test! You don’t have to be profoundly deaf to benefit from this!

When I went back a couple of weeks ago, I found I needed both hearing aids. Unfortunately, this time the ringing and tinnitus did not go away. So, she told me about the app Resound Relief! What a relief it has been! My favorite is the soft rain. That makes the ringing and buzzing go away.

Just go! If in the San Antonio, Texas area, go see Jane Watson, at Audicles.

What would you tell someone who is considering hearing aids?

GO GO GO!!!! Just find out!!!!

What was your biggest concern about hearing aids? Did that turn out to be true?

Honestly, I don’t know that I had any concerns. If any, it was just spending that much money, lol.

It has BEYOND changed my life! I am not constantly saying “Pardon Me?” Or “what did they say?”

So, yeah. No concerns.

Which ReSound Hearing Aid(s) do you have?

ReSound LiNX 3D
